NBB0030 - Twisted Jade Bonsai (Portulacaria Afra)

An established semi-mature Portulacaria Afra bonsai developed over three years through careful cultivation, selective pruning and structural training.

Styled in the full cascade tradition, the composition extends dramatically below the rim of the vessel, creating a sense of movement, age and resilience often associated with trees growing from cliffs and exposed landscapes.

The composition is defined by a deeply contorted trunk that twists, supporting a compact canopy of small rounded foliage. The movement within the trunk accentuates the age and character.

Over its development, the tree has been repotted and refined through regular pruning to encourage ramification and maintain proportion. The result is a living sculpture that rewards close observation, revealing new details from every angle.

Presented in a glazed ceramic vessel selected to complement the tree's movement and character.
